Welcome to the official webstead for the College of Saint Dionysius, aka the Auckland University Medieval Guild. We are a group of friends based in Auckland, New Zealand who enjoy learning about and participating in all things medieval, including dancing, singing, feasting, brewing, smithing, archery, Italian Renaissance fencing and heavy armoured combat. We attempt to recreate as much of the military, social and cultural aspects of the years 600 to 1600 as we can, while avoiding the less tasteful bits like the Black Plague!
We are affiliated with the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA), and have received a great deal of assistance from the lovely lords and ladies of the Auckland chapter of the SCA, known as the Barony of Ildhafn, which is in turn based in the Kingdom of Lochac, covering all of Australia and New Zealand.
NEWS, October 6th: The College is in a state of dormancy at this time. Click here to visit the website of the Barony of Ildhafn for all kinds of local medieval goodness in the meantime! For other useful links in relation to the Current Middle Ages, including information on our patron saint, assorted arts and sciences links and websites for other medieval re-enactment groups, click here. We bid you safe travels through the Intarwebs!
